Have you lived somewhere tiny?
Many people have lived in or have been in a small apartment at some point in their life, maybe back in college you had a pad with a few roommates, but have you lived with your family in less than 550 sq. ft.?
After having lived out of a hotel room for 13 months while we tried to figure out our building plans, this is definitely an upgrade! It is a one bedroom, one bathroom tiny home, that is perfect in practically every way.
Take a look:
This was the first day the cabin made it to be on our small slice of heaven (5.4 Acres).
Contrary to what most tiny homes are equipped with, this one has almost all of the luxuries of a large home, I couldn’t survive without a dishwasher!
A lot of tiny homes don’t have a dishwasher at all, and have a reduced height fridge to allow for more storage above…I’m so glad ours is full sized, it stays full!
The living, dining, office, and loft all flow together into one large room.
We eat together at the bar area in the kitchen and use the “dining” or entry area to put a work desk in place so that I can work on my assignments and not have to worry about my work being disturbed.
Sierra’s sleeping area started out downstairs but has since moved up into the loft (I must admit, it’s pretty sweet up there)!
One of the greatest investments we made was buying bed frames that had built-in drawers for extra storage.
Last but not least is our bedroom and bathroom. It’s a pretty basic square, but comfy as can be demonstrated by miss Sierra!
We may step on each others toes at times, but for the most part, this set-up works very well for all of us and we couldn’t be happier to have found such an amazing place to call home!
