Get unready with me: Skin care

If you’re anything like me and you’re completely wiped by the time it comes around to getting unready for the day, I’ve got you on this post. I have seen more pm skin care routines than I care to admit lol. I needed something simple, efficient, and effective and after trying countless products over the years, I’ve compiled what has been tried and true for me (and based on the thousands of reviews; have been very successful for many of you as well).

As always, any links included in my post are linked as an affiliate that I receive compensation for, but that never cost you any extra on your end to purchase from.

First step (optional): Make up remover

I don’t wear makeup every day, so if you don’t either then this step would be optional, but when I do, I love to use this Makeup Remover. I love how this just melts makeup off of your skin. I found this to work better than just double cleansing alone.

Second step: cleansing

I have two cleansers that I alternate between, a gentle cleanser and an exfoliating one. I love this Gentle Cleanser for its clean ingredients and how it doesn’t strip my skin or make it feel dry. It smells amazing too, like a luxury trip to the spa.

This is the Exfoliating Cleanser that I love. It has a gritty consistency that is rough enough to be effective but not enough to cause dryness or irritation. It contains AHA/BHA and salicylic acid as well so it checks many of my boxes for its effective ingredients and efficiency in my skincare routine.

Third step: moisturizing

I am in love with both of these Tatcha moisturizers. I never thought that having sensitive, acne prone skin that I would be able to use a thicker moisturizer without breaking out, but here I am to let you know, that you just need the right one. Both the Original moisturizer-thicker and the Water based-lighter weight one have not only kept my skin clear, but have put so much more moisture back into my skin, all while keeping me from getting oily as well.

and there you have it! These are my primary products that I use at night on my skin. I will work on a post in the near future that has my am products included in it (same gentle cleanser)!

Let me know in the comments if you have any suggestions or feedback for me, I’d love to connect!

xx Emily
